Lapstone Barn, Cotswolds, Autumnal wedding

A beautiful October wedding set in the idyllic Cotswolds at Lapstone Barn, Chipping Campden. With the use of autumn coloured florals, #untraditional wedding cake, live band and smoke bombs.

This is the wedding of Alice & Mark

The Venue- Lapstone Barn https://www.lapstonebarn.co.uk/

Lapstone Barn is a 18th century stone barn set in the beautiful countryside of Chipping Campden in the heart of The #Cotswolds. The venue hosts up to 200 guests and has everything you will need for an 'all-inclusive' #wedding. Lapstone also hosts the honeymoon cottage and farmhouse which houses 8-10 guests. These are included in the venue hire.

There are various locations on the grounds that make great photo opportunities for couple #portraits and group photo's.

The Farmhouse is a lovely backdrop for the relaxed post wedding couple portraits.

The long driveway works best for walking shots, especially with added use of smoke bombs....

The Dress

Alice (bride) went for a true #bride dress, simple and elegant, this style 'Austin' is a true beautiful classic. Purchased from https://whiteboutique.co.uk/ glamorous and chic this on the shoulder gown has a beautiful plunge front neckline bodice with a deep v-neckline to the back. This #bridal gown has the biggest super chic full circular Mikado skirt with pockets. Finished with a covered buttons from top of the bodice to the skirt hem over zip closure.

The Flowers

Alice and Mark incorporated #Autumnal colours throughout their day, paying special attention to the #florals. With the bridesmaids in forest green dresses from https://www.jacquelinelouisebridal.com/ and the flower girls tutu's from

https://www.tutushop.co.uk/ Alice wanted to add another colour within the theme, by adding oranges in the #bouquets and flower crowns. Beautiful florals of roses and eucalyptus were displayed throughout, created by 'Heaven Scent Flowers' https://www.facebook.com/YEdkinsFlorist

The Details

Every element of the day had tremendous thought go into it and this really shows in all those added details. From welcome signs to sweet favours, dog bows, to stationery.

Invites and signage - purchased on Zazzle https://www.zazzle.co.uk/store/freshandyummy

Dog collar/bow from Lionet Paws Bowtie Dog Collar

The order of the day

Alice was able to get ready in 'The Hayloft', which is situated up the stairs on the entrance to Lapstone barn. It is a beautiful purpose built room, with everything you need to achieve the best 'getting ready' experience on your day.

After the ceremony, and in true British fashion the weather began to change, it started to rain. So, instead of a traditional outside #confetti throw (once pronounced married) Alice & Mark walked down the isle as their guests showered them in natural dried petals.

Then luckily the sun came out, which allowed for Alice and Mark to have their group photo's outside the barn, enjoying some drinks and canapes while listening to the string duo, Sorelli Ensemble https://www.sorelliensemble.com/

Added Extra's

Alice & Mark wanted a little extra from their photo's, so they wanted to involve their bridal party and groomsmen in the smoke bomb fun.

We found the long driveway leading up to the barn was our best shout, as we needed the space for walking and movement once the smoke bombs were released.

Couple Portraits

We took advantage of the lovely grounds at #Lapstonebarn, particularly making use of the Farmhouse as a backdrop. The trees and bushes in October displayed some beautiful autumnal colours and enhanced the tones in my editing style.

Into the evening

The traditional speeches and wedding breakfast were a delight to capture, before cutting the untraditional #weddingcake of towered cheese. Created by The Cotswold Cheese Company https://www.cotswoldcheese.com/

Happily ever after

The evening ended with music from the crowd pleasing The Skip Jacks https://skip-jacks-band.co.uk/ who really got the party started. The dancefloor was bustling, resulting in myself standing on a chair to capture all the dance moves!

In true October light, we were also able to capture the #sparkler exits in the courtyard.
